It’s that time of year when we get ready for the upcoming season. I’ve been busy working on the boat and motor, making sure they are ready for a long hard season of heavy duty tarpon fishing. In addition to the boat and motor all the rods and reels need to be serviced. The reels have to be taken apart, cleaned and lubricated with any worn parts replaced. When the fishing starts there will be very little time for broken equipment so we try to anticipate any problems before they occur. One positive side effect of this work is that it sure does get me fired up to begin the new tarpon season! On a personal note… Every tarpon season is very hectic. Fishing twice a day almost every day can and does wear you down. I must say, however, I do love it… The busier the better. From my point of view I enjoyed this past season more than any other. It was just great and all of you were a pleasure to fish with. None of this could happen without your support. Let me say “Thank You” one more time … Now let’s welcome back Capt. Alex Regan … As many of you know Captain Alex is running our new boat “Mullet Man” a wide and roomy 25 foot Parker. It’s great to have a familiar face on the dock after several years absent. I, for one, am very happy to see him stalking the Silver King again. He’s a lot of fun to fish with and hard to stay ahead of. Looking ahead to the new season I know we are going to see some great Florida Keys fishing, and I can’t wait. I hope to see you all this year for some great fishing and lots of fun. Thanks again for the support.
I look forward to fishing with you,
